Abstract
The diagnosis of Hirschsprungs disease requires biopsy-proven evidence of distal colonic aganglionosis prior to consideration for laparoscopic-assisted endorectal colon pull-through. Infants and children with Hirschsprungs disease may be considered for primary laparoscopic pull-through if there are no significant medical comorbidities or severe enterocolitis, which may contribute to the poor general health of the infant. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2008.
