Abstract
The right hepatic artery and the common hepatic artery originate from the superior mesenteric artery in approximately 10-15% of the population. Reconstruction of the hepatic artery using the gastroduodenal artery has previously been described to repair hepatic artery injury during the performance of biliary and pancreatic resections. We report the utilization of this technique in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy for a periampullary neoplasm involving a replaced right hepatic artery. © H.G.E.
