Abstract
Embryo resuscitation and culture are important variables governing the success of human embryonic stem (ES) cell derivation. Protocols for proper human embryo culture, cryopreservation and resuscitation are described and placed in the context of human embryonic stem cell derivation. Poor resuscitation of embryos, use of non-human embryonic stem cell tested reagents, or failing to maintain an optimal, stable culture environment are common mistakes associated with poor embryo culture. © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
