Abstract
The development of a niche is important at any stage in one's career and can lead to fulfillment and professional growth. A new faculty member may struggle with how to find and develop a niche. Others may wonder whether their niche aligns with their own interests and priorities, or whether it is possible to change direction and develop a new niche. In this article, we highlight the importance of a niche to career fulfillment and through a series of articles explore the life of Dr. P as she navigates her niche and academic career.
