Abstract

Systematic Lupus Erthematosus is a rheumatological, autoimmune disease that affects about 1.5 million Americans and impacts multiple areas of the body, including the joints, skin, and heart. The aim of this project was to investigate a possible relationship between education attainment and disease activity scores in patients with SLE. Data analysis of 36 patients found that there is a slight trend, in which higher education levels correlates with lower disease activity scores.
