Kathryn Funk is the program manager for PubMed Central at the US National Library of Medicine. She coordinates PMC policy and involvement in special projects, including support of funder public access policies and the NIH Preprint Pilot. In 2021, Kathryn was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker for her work on increasing access to COVID-19 literature. Prior to coming to NLM, Katie worked in academic publishing. She received her master’s degree in library and information science from The Catholic University of America.
