Abstract

In this session, Dr. Terrillion, from the Association of State & Territorial Health Officials, provides an overview of the important work of the Primary Care & Public Health Collaborative, launched in follow up to the Institute of Medicine Report, "Primary Care and Public Health: Exploring Integration to Improve Population Health." Dr. Jarris, from Georgetown University, discusses the activities of the Collaborative's Workforce Committee as they relate to better understanding and addressing the workforce and training needs and required competencies among public health and heath care leaders, providers, and managers.
